After a long wait because of the epidemic, the 2020 CTCC China Touring car championship officially returned 

in August. Zeroracing Shenzhen and SAIC Volkswagen 333 team have formed a deep cooperative relationship. 

With the comprehensive upgrade done, Lamando racing car would strive for victory in the new season together with Zeroracing.

Having accumulated momentum for a long time, the SAIC Volkswagen 333 team has comprehensively upgraded 

the Lamando in the preparation stage. In order to make the racing car more lightweight, a thinner wing-shaped 

rear wing was adopted this year, which is also capable of reducing the air resistance of the Lamando during high-speed 

stages. Different from the normal concave-convex surface design, the central grille has been changed to a smooth 

surface design, further reducinig the wind resistance of the car head.

Regarding the driver lineup, this season includes "veterans" who have played for the team for many years, 

Zhang Zhendong and RodolfoAvila. At the same time, there are "old friends" too, Sun Chao and He Xiaole. 

It is worth mentioning that Zhang Zhendong, with the identity of the annual championship of the 2019 season,

 would have the honor to drive no.1 car in the new season, starting a new championship journey.

In the first race, RodolfoAvila was on the podium in both rounds and won the runner-up in the second round. 

His teammate Zhang Zhendong ranked fifth, He Xiaole eighth, and both racers got scores. In the second race 

of the next day, SAIC Volkswagen 333 team played well among other competitors. RodolfoAvila won the third 

place in the first round, Zhang Zhendong won the second round, and SAIC Volkswagen won the Manufacturer 

Cup in the second round.

In the third race On August 8th , SAIC Volkswagen won the Manufacturer Cup in two rounds. What’s more, 

Zhang Zhendong continued his bravery in the second race, and won the driver's championship for three 

consecutive rounds when this race finished. His teammate Sun Chao has also played a textbook-level defense 

in the race. Powerful "foreign aid" RodolfoAvila also won another runner-up on the podium again.

Here came to the fourth race on August 9th. It’s also the last race of the season in Zhuzhou International racing. 

SAIC Volkswagen 333 team still remained good results on the last race day. Zhang Zhendong won the fourth 

driver's championship this week, and together with He Xiaole won the team’s Manufacture Cup championship 

in the second round.

The drivers and teams completed the almost impossible task within one week. Under great pressure, 

Zhang Zhendong led the car drivers’ table, and SAIC Volkswagen temporarily led the manufacturers' championship.
