BBS Japan's first wheel series crafted from itsindependently developed high-rigidity aluminum alloy material"FORTEGA"—the BBS FL—was officially launched earlier this year. Following the initialrelease of fitment data for the all-electric Porsche Taycan sports sedan, new21-inch fitment data has recently been added for three SUV models: the PorscheCayenne (E3K29), the BMW iX3 (G08), and the Lexus RX500h (TALH17).

FORTEGA is an innovativematerial developed and patented by BBS Japan specifically for the wheels ofmedium to large SUVs and electric new energy vehicles. Compared to conventional6000 and 7000 series aluminum alloys, FORTEGA not only offers greater rigidityand reduced weight, but also achieves approximately 10% weight reduction whilemaintaining the same level of rigidity.

This allows it to providesufficient load-bearing capacity for electric vehicles and SUVs, whilesignificantly reducing unsprung mass, thereby effectively improving drivingrange. According to internal test data from BBS, the use of lightweight wheelscan reduce battery consumption in electric vehicles by approximately 8%.
